Understanding Events in Open Enterprise Intelligence™

One of the more powerful but rarely used features in Google Analytics is event tracking. A standard Google Analytics install just tracks pageviews. Open Enterprise Intel™ Events’ tracking allows us to record many additional items, such as someone shares a page on a social network, comments on a blog, form submissions, and clicks on calls to actions on a website. Events are somewhat similar to goals in Google Analytics, however they offer a great deal of additional flexibility. Goals essentially have two parameters; an identifier and value . Events provide five parameters; ● category ● action ● label (optional) ● value (optional) ● noninteraction (optional)
