The thank you page content allows you to specify which goal you want to trigger via the node
edit form. You can also specify a custom value specifically for a thank you page. The main goal configuration, you specify a default value for each type of goal. But the submission value field will allow you to override that if you wish.
Another interesting feature in thank you pages is that this goal will not trigger just anytime someone views this page. It only fires when a form is actually submitted. So it solves bookmarked pages creating inflating numbers with false positives. The other thing this allows us to do is to easily reuse goals on multiple thank you pages.
