When adding a new page, or content type for that matter, you will be given the option to publish, save as draft, or preview. The image below is an example of this: (Selecting Publish, will make the content live on the website for anyone to see.)
If the content has already been published, you will see, Save (to save edits), Unpublish (take the content from the live website and viewable to visitors and unpublish is to keep it hidden and only viewable to the admin or content editor.)
